The one with the tuna burgers recipe

When I did  #mealplanningmonday last week a few people commented on the tuna burgers, so I thought I'd share the recipe and my take on it.

The original recipe can be found here on netmums.

As there are only three of us, I adapted the recipe to just use one tin of tuna, so I do one egg and 50g of breadcrumbs. I also make mini burgers, so I get six or seven out of the mix. I just prefer it that way, you could do two or three big ones.

I've used any type of curry paste I happen to have in the fridge and I've also used tomato paste and chilli flakes.

The method is simple:

  • Collect ingredients
  • Bung in bowl and mix together
  • Form into cakes and put on a plate in the fridge for a bit (I think this helps them to stay together when cooking)
  • Shallow fry until golden brown and cooked through
  • Serve with noodles or veggies or salad
